Bluetooth ad2p is a bluetooth profile that allows you to play music wirelessly to your car stereo. After you pair an ad2p device with you car it will automatically connect every time you get in. You can imagine how this would be cool, just jumpin in your car and throwing your mp3 player on the passenger seat and it connects. You can also control you ad2p device with your car stereo controls. Ad2p had a slow start, Some cell phones adopted it right off the bat. You would think this would of caught on like wild fire. People already carry their phones and most cell phones have built in mp3 players now, but it just didn't catch. The iPhone which I think is the best phone in the world (the one I own) still does not have ad2p. Wouldn't that be nice jumpin in my car with my phone ( which has a 16 gig hard drive full of music) and it just connects and I am ready to go. Nope ... The worlds best phone doesn't support it. Are you kidding me ??? Apple pretty much invented the mp3 player and they didn't jump on this ?? Wow. Apple says it is working on the update.
Car manufacturers are finally incorporating Bluetooth ad2p into cars. The Ford Focus, Honda civic and many other cars are now comming with this technology stock. You never know Bluetooth ad2p could in the near future be used in almost every car. It could become normal for your phone to automatically connect to your car and play your music and free Internet radio like Pandora.com I think that day will come. What do you think?
